BANG BANG PRAWNS Bang Bang prawns are a delicious appetizer. The prawns are fried until crispy and golden brown and then coated in a creamy and spicy bang bang sauce. Serve them in tacos, on pasta, with sticky jasmine rice or in a salad - they are perfect in every way! To make them you will need: 500g peeled and deveined prawns 1 cup cornstarch/maizena 1 tsp red chilli flakes 2 tsp @funky_ouma seafood spice Salt and pepper to season 1 cup buttermilk Bang Bang Sauce 3 tbsp mayonnaise 1 tbsp thai sweet chilli sauce 2 tbsp sriracha Coriander and sesame seeds to garnish ~In a bowl, mix together your cornstarch, red chilli flakes, seafood spice, salt and pepper. ~Marinate your prawns in the buttermilk before adding them to the cornstarch mixture. This should only take a few minutes. Coat your prawns in the cornstarch mixture to ensure they are nice and crispy when fried. ~Fry your prawns in hot oil for 3-4 minutes. Be sure not to fry all at once, as it will affect the temperature of your oil. ~Place them onto a kitchen towel once fried. ~To make your bang bang sauce, combine all the ingredients and mix well. ~Pour your sauce over the prawns, coating them well. ~Garnish with coriander and sesame seeds and enjoy 😉 #TastyOnMyTable #BangBangPrawns #Recipe #Appetizer #Homemade #Johannesburg #FoodBlog
