When I was younger I had a fair few pre race rituals and would count myself as being rather superstitious, 4 specific lucky safety pins 🧷 Very long multicoloured laces I’d tie in around 10 double knots 🪢 Pre-start line jelly babies, but only the red or purple ones 🍬 Those pink and black striped nike pro shorts (the og runner girls know exactly which ones I mean) and thats just to name a few! Now I can’t say I really have any pre race superstitions as we all know, races are down to the work you’re put in and your mindset on the day, BUT you might still find me saluting a magpie here and there mid workout.
