Use an old pillowcase. Throw it over the blade and swipe backwards. All the dust stays contained in the pillowcase. We use an old flannel one. :)

So true! I had to turn mine off, and it looked like a fuzzy cat sitting up there! Now I wipe them down every Sunday!

Dollar tree has a ceiling fan blade cleaner that's fluffy in the section with the brooms and the poles. It's awesome.

This is so accurate! I have cathedral ceiling and had not cleaned my ceiling fan in many years During wall painting I decided to clean them. OMG! At least 3 inches of dust!

I neglect things like the ceiling fans because of spinal arthritis, and frayed shoulder muscles along with unknown fainting spells. Pain and unconsciousness are party poopers. 😣

Had to do a deep clean 1 month ago. 15 years. Two fans hadn’t been clean. Took me 4 hrs to clean both fans.

Mine is over my bed, which is too heavy to move. I HATE cleaning ceiling fan blades. There is no way to do it without getting dust particles virtually anywhere.
