My little dog does exactly the same thing right before she falls asleep and panics if she can’t find it. We call it her “baby” and she knows that it is her baby when we refer to it.

My doxie does too! He’s going to be three on Jan 29th. It’s his favorite way to soothe himself. It’s also how he chews through blankets and beds but it’s the cutest!
