My contract states OT is always voluntary. When I was young I took all the offered OT. At this point I don’t even need 40hrs much less OT. Let the young ppl do it. Cycle of life

legally in my state they have to give you 24 hours notice before scheduling an extra day. that's kind of nice

Back in the eighties, we worked eighty four hours a week, 7 - 12 friends for 1& 1/2 years, then we went to 1 day off 5 twelves and a 8 hrs on Saturday off Sunday 😬😂🥰

I’ve worked Construction the majority of my life and most contractor bosses do not want to pay overtime. They will have you put the tools down right at 3 PM and get the hell out of there.

Had a job once where OT could be turned into comp time. 1 hour ot was 1.5 vacation hours. Everytime I got 40+ hours I took a week off. All a sudden the ot stopped being offered.
