I've never had 3 in carseats at the same time but what I've done when I had 2 in carseats was bought brand new for the main car they went in and second hand off marketplace for the other car/spare

yes. but buy cheaper models of the expensive ones foe the second car that they are in less.

Car seats in all cars I had three kids under three had to have just in case for emergency we had no help

3 kids and 11 car seats - grand parents have car seats as well

yup I'd say so! we have 2 kids, we have 2 car seats in each of our cars, 2 boosters in 2 sets of grandparents cars....so all up we have 8 seats! we only did the grandparents once they were in booster seats, but they still the $270 booster seats! if you know a family member next to have kids etc, we pass our seats down so they least get more use till they expire
