Chances are that the reman motor is set right. It is typical for tractor engines to push more horse than advertised. It probably isn't any "hotter" than it should be.

I’ve seen guys put a different fan in to pull more air through the radiator has an extra fin I think or a greater pitch.

If it’s like the 20 and 40 series boxcar the best thing I found was either an aftermarket muffler or a straight pipe. The factory exhaust traps too much heat behind the hood.

I believe there is also an upgrade for a 9 blade fan to help with air flow on the 40 and 50 series. I haven't don't much research on it personally

I put a manual gauge on for the temperature and put the gauge in the cab because I didn't trust my dash either. there should be a plug on the left side of the engine to use
