My younger adopted brother is black and possibly Mexican(birth father is unknown) and because he was born in the U.S. it hadn’t even occurred to me that he needs to carry his birth certificate 😭

I had to tell my 16 year old son to make sure he always has his ID on him. he is native american/white so can appear Hispanic if you don't know. I'm petrified something will happen when I'm not there
