@jonesin.for.wellness: Make your own ginger shots at home! Or make ice cubes with me to have in your freezer for when you feel a cold coming on. Because we all know once you’re actually feeling sick, the last thing you want to do is jump up and make some ginger shots. Ingredients: (although you can just wing it and not measure as well) 2 cups fresh organic ginger root (washed + any weird bits cut off, no need to fully peel as you’ll strain it) Juice of 2-4 organic lemons (or the whole lemon) 2-3 cups filtered water 1-2 Tablespoons of turmeric powder (or you can use the full turmeric root if you have access to it! If you do, add it in with the ginger) If you’re making ice cubes for tea I keep simple with the above. If you’re making shots you can add: 1-2 Tablespoon of raw honey Or carrots or oranges for some extra Vit C Pinch of black pepper How to: Blend the ginger, lemons, turmeric and water in a high speed blender. Pour into a straining bag and strain. Store in fridge for 1-2 weeks and take a daily shot! She spicy. Or make into ice cubes, and store in airtight container. When you are feeling low or fighting off a cold I add 1 -2 cubes to a mug, add honey and hot water and drink this non stop! I swear it helps. Enjoy! #nutritiontips #wellnesstips #gingershots #gingershot #antiinflammatory

Drink with a straw. Keep it in the refrigerator for only a few days. Freezing will lose it’s nutrients

I thought the nutrients are only good if you use them the day of. Meaning that if you store them in fringe or feeezer, it loses its healthy benefits

I use a French press to get the liquid out and leave the pulp. Works like a charm.
