Cheat’s Mince Pies Christmas Series ‘Easy Entertaining’ Episode 8 I am very picky about my mince pies and I the only ones I’ve ever loved are buttery crumbly homemade ones but I really don’t have much time these days and the shop bought ones just aren’t cutting it so here you have a homemade mince pie with some shortcuts…I promise you they are incredible 🔥 What you need: (Makes 12) - 1 1/2 rolls of shop bought shortcrust pastry - 1 400g jar of good quality mincemeat (I used supervalue signature tastes mincemeat with port and brandy) - 20ml Port - 20ml Brandy Crumble Topping * 175g self raising flour * 110g real salted butter cut into cubes (real butter is a must) * 55g caster sugar Extras: - Orange zest for the mincemeat (this isn’t for me, I like it very simple) - Use 40ml of Baileys Irish Cream instead of the Port and Brandy for an interesting twist - Toasted nuts in the crumble like flaked almonds or crushed hazelnuts  What to do: - Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius  - Mix the booze into the mincemeat into a bowl and set aside - Make the crumble by adding the flour, hardened cubes of butter and sugar into a bowl and using your hands and fingers, pinch it all together until it resembles a crumble, set aside - Use a cookie cutter (approx 3 inch) to cut as many circles of the shortcrust pastry as you can.  - Grease the cupcake tin liberally with butter and place the circle of pastry inside, press gently to fit the tray - Use 2 tsp of the mince meat per pie - Top with the crumble - Oven bake for 20 mins (all ovens differ, check at 17/18 mins) - Top with sieved icing sugar - Serve with pouring or whipped double cream…unreal  #fyp #foryoupage #mincepies #christmas #christmasrecipe #recipehack #viral #viralrecipe
