My dad is a narcissist. He was the same way with the whole family, nice to us and sunshine and rainbows when out in public. But then the second we were at home he’d turn demonic 🙃

I always thought of it as: the closer they are to you the more you are "treated" to the real version of them. Because they can't love, that's what you get if they "love" you - their hate.

Had a friend who divorced a covert narcissist. Unfortunately we had to go our separate ways because my husband didn’t see it and it caused issues for us. I’m just glad she got out.

Yep he phone called my dad with a written speech to declare how well he treated me despite what I had told my dad and what my dad had witnessed. Unbelievable.

Also, I’m proud of you. I also had to educate myself back in 2016 when no one w en talked about NPD. I googled silent treatment because I didn’t know what was happening to me. It was a game changer
