you have to have enough money to start your own or be family or close friend of family. is what I got 20 years ago. I wanted to do cosmetic. the whole reason I went to Cosmo school but I needed mort school too. it was too much 😒 dream lost.

i did a hybrid program. the classes were on Zoom and recorded. tests and quizzes were mostly online. we had to go to campus for midterms and finals.

In California, funeral directors do not need to go to mortuary school. We only have to take a course + pass the state licensing exam. However, to become an embalmer you have to go to mortuary school.

The best way to dip your toes is to get a part-time job as a funeral service assistant. Usually doesn't require any experience and you get to learn how it is to be in the field.

working in a funeral home I've been told they feel it's a calling it's not for everyone. People also think it's one thing but it's another. I would definitely do what he is suggesting
