I add a few drops of essential oil, but I’ve been making this exact recipe for many years, and yes definitely vinegar rinse.

Using vinegar on a regular basis is not good for the machine. It can erode tubes very quickly and can cause certain components to rust. Better to just use the detergent and nothing else

What is “Washing” soda? What is “Epson” salt? I live in the Netherlands and these 2 terms are not know to me.

I’ve been using vinegar for fabric softener since 2020. It’s helps keep whites bright and stop colors from fading ☺️

Once in a while run the machine empty to make sure none of the ingredients get inside your machine! It happened to me.

If you have fire wood ash... you can make an even better liquid laundry soap.. 1/3 ash 2/3 water. let macerate for 3 to 10 days - stir every day. Siphon the clear liquid in a container... discard ash

Great laundry soap recipe, and not 90% water, in a big bulky container, AWSOME.

Vinegar destroyed my washer, it eroded the heating element completely. I use citric acid as rinse. The heating element has been fine for several years now.

Idk if anyone else does this but i use baking soda for the ‘detergent’ and vinegar as the ‘softener’ and it works really well and keeps them fresh
