Stayed in a pool villa in Rawai for less than USD200 a night. But that was not high season. Check out AIRBnB, sometimes you can find a bargain.

It‘s not totally lie though. You actually can get it that price but maybe not 5-star on the Beach at high Season. Thailand is Full of variety of choices, vary of prices but you still need to choose.
