It’s very real. When my first single was popping I had a MAJOR band ask me to pay for the privilege of opening their show. Mind you they were make a million a night they, wanted 5K a night from me.

Paid by tips? Is that a US thing? In Canada if you play anywhere, the performers or band gets paid.
