There is a lot of stigma around hyperpigmentation, especially when it’s around your underarms… my whole adult life, this is something I have struggled with. And I am not kidding when I say I have tried everything under the sun. Though it’s very normal for people of colour (especially if you have a brown to dark skin tone) to have some form of hyperpigmentation on the face and body and around our underarms, I can’t deny that it impacted my self-esteem.
