I retired two years ago. Every week still feels like six Saturdays and a Sunday. I go to the gym 3 days a week. Besides that I do whatever I want. I have not been bored for even one minute.

Think of it as Life after Work. Not Retirement. Purpose and daily structure is key, and keep mentally stimulated and fit. Otherwise it’s a slippery slope.
