Black hair can be any hue, basically depending on lighting. Outside with blue skies? Blue hue. Nearby a red or any other lighting? it will be that hue. :3

btw if anyone else is struggling with this, with darker colours in general DO NOT think about shadows ignore the shadows and keep your highlights bright and sharp hope this helps
