It reminds of how people talk about last names. A man’s last name is HIS. A woman’s last name is her father’s. Never mind the fact that the man usually ALSO has his father’s last name.

Yes!!! Having kids is such a privilege. Like I get to watch these beautiful kids grow up and I get to teach them as much as I can so they can go on and be the best version of themselves.

I always hated “we’re pregnant.” No, “we” are not pregnant, SHE is pregnant. If you want to say “we” you say “we’re EXPECTING” because that’s what BOTH of you actually are.
