@dandelion_tufts: You'll never get me on board with "Natalya Maximoff" being the twins' mother. Not only does it completely ignore the fact that Jack Kirby literally set up Magda talking about having magic that could pass on to her children (shown in dialogue with her midwife when the twins first birth was shown). It's actually worse Roma representation as it changes Django & Marya from adopting a complete stranger's children because they lost their own to raising their niece & nephew. On top of that if magic is inherited in the Maximoff line and BOTH Natalya & Django are shown to possess magic why do they continue to NOT give Pietro, Tommy, and Luna magic!? So basically they clearly never meant for this to be the ACTUAL origin of the twins. On top of that in 2005, we got a storyline known as House of M. In that world, Wanda gives her family (including Magneto & Polaris still) EVERYTHING they ever wanted, and Wanda makes herself human in this world. Both her siblings are still mutants, but Wanda is not which points even more to the fact that "Natalya Maximoff" is a figment of Wanda's creation who actually doesn't exist. And whether you like the storyline of them with Magneto, Quicksilver literally gets ALL his motivation as a hero from not wanting to be his father, Magneto. Stealing Magda's twins from her not only is bad writing because it makes Quicksilver irrelevant; it completely undermines every storyline Wanda has ever had about accepting herself. It literally takes everything unique about Wanda away from her. And Magda deserves better because they literally just fridged her worst by taking her surviving twins from her. Anyways @Marvel Entertainment let me fix this retcon.
