I had a boss try that with me, I knew they had an inspector coming in that day. I walked in, made sure the inspector saw me, and threw up all over the counter. Inspector closed the store for a week.

My boss, one time won’t let me leave I was literally so sick that I had 103.6 fever and I could not even lift my body up to move I legit laid across the counter until I got a customer. Dont even know how I was able to drive myself to work and she wouldn’t let me leave because I had a party that day so she thought I wanted to leave early, but I literally told her I was sick and I was going home if she sent me home and it took another employee’s mother threading to call corporate for her to send me home. Mind you this was during Covid. So my boss called me and said I could go home and I had to go to the hospital to see if I had Covid and the doctor was out of the room for literally two minutes and came straight back in and it was like you have Covid.
