The Volvo isn’t special. The front of cars are designed to crumble to absorb the impact of a crash. If another volvo rear ended the Volvo it would look similar to the Lexus.

Volvos are legitimately built like tanks, rolled my xc90 twice into a field and drove off like it never happened. Not a single broken part just a few scratches.
