The Prime Minister’s Office forwarded your feedback to us. We are sorry to hear of your experience. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) takes the reliability of banks’ critical IT systems very seriously and noted the repeated inconvenience caused to the public arising from the recent disruption to digital banking and ATM services. MAS requires all banks to maintain high availability and recoverability of their banking systems. MAS has instructed DBS to conduct a thorough investigation, and will take appropriate supervisory actions after gathering the necessary facts. When informed about consumers’ experiences with financial institutions (FIs), we will first ask the FI to look into the matter and give the consumer an explanation. We will also hear from the FI about the issues raised. We would therefore like to seek your consent to forward your feedback and contact details to DBS for their follow up. Depending on the complexity of the case, the FI may take between 14 and 20 business days to respond to you. We will also receive a copy of the reply. We will review DBS’ response and follow up with them on any areas we are concerned about. Please let us know if you agree.
