Mums delicious classic Syrian dish “LABNIYEH ” This delicious dish is best served alongside baked or fried Kebbi . Here’s what you’ll need ⬇️ This made a decent size pot for my family of 5 , you can double the recipe to make more . 1 kilo @jalna_yoghurt 2 tbs @whitewingsbaking corn flour diluted with 1/4 cup water . 3 large lamb shanks on the bone @marble_meats 150g Kebbi mince 150g fine burgul . @mimosspicebags x1 1/4 cup washed medium grain rice 3 cloves crushed garlic Salt n pepper Olive oil 2 tbs butter 1 cup fresh chopped coriander (Inc stems ) Reserve about 700 mls of the stock from lamb shanks and keep the rest Incase your want it more runny . For the Kebbi balls Wash and squeeze out water from the burgul and leave to rest an hour before adding Kebbi mince , sprinkle of salt n pepper and bind together well . Form into little balls using water as an aid and refrigerate for few hours so they can harden up . Sear off the lamb shanks for few mins in olive oil then add to a new pot with one @mimosspicebags and add water to the top of the shanks and bring to a boil , then cover and let them simmer on a low heat about 3 hours . Once done , remove and cool and shred well keeping the shredded meat . Strain the stock . In a large pot add the yoghurt and the diluted corn flour mixture and whisk well , then turn the heat on high and keep whisking until it comes to a boil , then add the reserved lamb stock and stir until you get a creamy consistency , if you want it more runny you can add more stock or water . Add about 2 tsp salt to the yoghurt Add the shredded lamb shanks Add the rice and stir well , otherwise rice will stick to the bottom . Add some water when u add rice to help it cook . 1/2 cup . Add the Kebbi balls and stir well and gradually lowering the heat . Kebbi balls won’t take long to cook . Once the Kebbi balls are cooked fry off the butter , garlic and coriander in a pan and add to the yoghurt . This will all come together beautifully . Best served next to baked or fried Kebbi. #sydneyfoodie #eats #food #comfortfood #middleeasternfood #Recipe #yummy #instayum #Ramadan #iftar #رمضان
