Beef Short Ribs with mashed potatoes Tender fall off the bone slow cooked beef with the silkiest mashed potatoes. Perfect combo!! I cooked this beef low and slow for about 3 hours and it’s hard to put into words how juicy it was. In the video I used a knife but I could have used a fork because it literally melted in my mouth. You have to try this recipe for yourself!!! Recipe ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Ingredients; 2 pcs bone in short rib 1 Carrot 1 onion 2 pcs celery 1 table spoons tomato paste 2 cup red wine 1 liter beef broth 2 sprig Thyme 2 sprig rosemary 2 Bay leaf 2 tablespoon Cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water 4 small Yukon gold potatoes 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/4 cup melted salted butter Salt and pepper to taste Method; Season your meat with salt and pepper throughly on all sides. In a lot sear off your meat until fully seared on all sides. Remove the beef and add your vegetables. Store and allow them to cook slightly. Add tomato paste and continue to stir. Cook this for one to two minutes on medium heat. Deglaze with red wine and beef broth. Add your herbs and bay leaf and bring this up to a simmer. Next add your beef back into the pot and cover. Turn your heat down to low and allow this to cook for 2.5 - 3hours. Once cooked remove lid and allow to cool in the liquid for half an hour. Carefully remove meat. Strain the liquid and reduce the sauce. When your broth has reduced by about a third add your cornstarch slurry. Continue to simmer for a few minutes to allow sauce to thicken. Add your meat back into the sauce that has now thickened up. Glaze the meat in the sauce and serve hot with mashed potatoes and veggies. Enjoy!! #beefpotroast #shortribs #mashedpotatoes #carrots #EasyRecipes #torontofood #torontochefs
