No pet left behind! We’re ensuring that adoptable pets aren’t forgotten during storm preparations for Hurricane Milton. After a long day of travel, our Hurricane Milton evacuees arrived safe and sound! 🌀 On Monday morning, the Humane Society of Broward County welcomed a very special group—dozens of cats and dogs rescued from the path of destruction in Manatee County. These animals had been available for adoption but were unclaimed or surrendered by their owners. 🙏 In an incredible effort led by the University of Florida, over 150 shelters across the state connected to provide support. We are deeply grateful to our community for making this possible. Thanks to a successful weekend where 55 animals found loving homes, we are blessed to have the space to take in more animals that need our help. We’re doing everything we can to make our new arrivals feel safe and comfortable, from soft beds to treats and air conditioning! Our hope is to let them settle in and have them available for adoption as soon as possible. All pets will be checked by our veterinary clinic before being listed for adoption, and will be visible on our website once they’re ready! ❤️ Due to Hurricane Milton, the Humane Society of Broward County will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, reopening on Friday. To meet one of our adoptable pets, please complete the pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com, then stop by the Humane Society of Broward County at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL. The adoption center opens daily at 11 a.m. If you have any questions, call 954-989-3977 ext. 6. If you’d like to donate to the care of our new arrivals and help us take in more homeless pets, please visit the donate page on our website or donate through the fundraiser on our page. ❤️❤️❤️ #hurricanedebby #fosterdog #adoptdontshop #rescuedog #shelterdog #adoptme #adoptdontshop #dogsofinstagram #florida #fortlauderdale #dogstagram #doglover #retriever #dogsoftheday #dogrescue #dog #instadog #bullybreed #americanbulldog #pittie #bulldog #pittiesofinstagram #pleasehelp #mutt #muttsofinstagram #hurricanetransfer #hurricanemilton #hurricane #floridastrong #universityofflorida
