In the mining industry the whole area is autonomous to my understanding and there are barriers if that gets broken by other equipment (like a man operatored grader) all the truck’s shutdown.

Autonomous vehicles will have to have their own dedicated highways I believe. It’ll happen eventually. I think Atlanta has some type of distant plan for this….who wants to go to Atlanta anyway.
