That $ with a masters is a joke. Can you switch industries ? I’m at 150 with a bachelors from home and 75k from investment properties. DONT get a 2nd job. Go somewhere you are valued.

Fellow SoCal MSW here 👋🏼 have you thought about school social work? It’s an extra credential you need but it’s worth it! I work a school schedule & make 115k. I get to be home with my son a lot.

LCSW pays a lot more. If you already have a masters. You should have all the courses and just need to register with the BBS. Work as an ASW then LCSW.

I'm an msw and as much I love my role, it's not enough. Most social workers have 2 jobs to make ends meet. I regret not doing more research, & I can't change careers bc I have a 100k student loan 😔

Not sure where you work but work for the county the pay for social work with a masters is $$$$ I used to work for Santa Clara county in San Jose MSW’s there make 110k and above

Look into school districts and hospitals! That’s where the $$ is and therapy. You can use all three do collect clinical hours for your lcsw. I’m in socal also(riv county) and they start at 80K
