I also had “English” grayed out and I tried 200 times and finally I found the solution! Delete the app from your smartphone, re-install it WITHOUT opening it.

Cannot changed it. English option was there but it was greyed out on - so cannot select it. Maybe because i used chinese number during signing up?

Guys it greyed out the English option on my iphone too. So I open iphone setting and change language in the phone setting for the app first. Hope that help 😊

I think when in China, try not to update the app, otherwise it'll be defaulted to Chinese.
