I'm not really getting this obsession for hiding toasters/juicers etc Yes it's aesthetically pleasing but so impractical; I would never have tea & toast again!!

In our house the toaster is a choke point. That would annoy the hell out of me. The toaster needs to be accessible from two sides.

Why hide the toaster and kettle? The kettle in particular is the beating heart of the kitchen? It's what you click on when a friend visits or, what a friend puts on to support you at sad times.

No, you can't use that worktop unless you're a beat freak and you lose a whole half a cupboard just to get an awkward corner cupboard. I would drop the last under worktop cupboard instead.
