Im sure by law, you are entitled to a full refund within 30 days! Between 30 days and 6 months you can get it repaired/or replaced, Consumers Rights act 2015.

I suspect a failed abs sensor. Now to be fair it wasn’t on when you bought the car. Sensors etc can fail at anytime. They can check your car before selling it but they can’t predict the future
