Good old euro 6 6.7 cummins it will probably be the head they do fail on egr coolers and I've seen them fail with the compressor heads before

Wouldn't you do a combustion leak test first whereby the dye changes colour in the coolant bottle? I think you're assuming it's head gasket.

Instead of bypassing coolant hoses to compressor can’t you just take off the metal air pipe so that no compressed air can be generated, that’s a quicker way to narrow it down to the engine/ egr cooler

What I do is pump the air down a bit run engine if it stops running out then starts again when upto full pressure usually compressor head gasket

Them compressor heads never really fail on PX7s, head gaskets always fail especially on CFs running PX7s, seen a couple EGR coolers cracked internally as well causing same thing
