Decking then curb. Squash blocks in the decking channels. Through bolt the curb through to the structural supports

Here in Texas we set on top of the deck, but I have rarely installed mounted to the steel. It just depends what in the specs

we set the curbs on top of decking and never had a problem. depending on the specific of the job sometimes we put c channel down in the flues of the decking.

Been doing this for a long time.For the size you have Decking goes on the steel frame, wood goes on decking, RTU goes on the wood.

Same thing with strong walls you don’t set them on plywood you remove the plywood and bolt directly to the beam. Movement equals leaks.
