We have started a crowdfunding campaign to bring UMAMI SAUCE to North America and embark on a one-year road trip in an RV. Along the way, our family will meet Kimonoko in person, teach them how to use UMAMI SAUCE, and spread Japanese home cooking. Our dream is to bring UMAMI SAUCE to Kimonoko around the world. However, we face financial challenges. Although being influencers might make us appear wealthy, my husband and I are not. We have invested all our money over three years in developing UMAMI SAUCE. Now, with the cost of exporting it from Japan to the US, we are hardly making a profit. Additionally, the weakening yen, product rights, and visa costs are significant burdens. Nevertheless, we are determined to fulfill our mission to bring UMAMI SAUCE to every Kimonoko. We will make it to the end. I realized that the best way to get people to incorporate UMAMI SAUCE into their lives is to explain its use and let them taste it in person, not just online. This morning, we announced our crowdfunding and received overwhelming support from Kimonokos who have been with us for years, which moved me to tears. But we also received some strong words comments, possibly because we appear wealthy. In the past, such comments might have depressed me, but now I have a mission to accomplish and no time for negativity. If we were wealthy, it might seem like we were taking a year-long holiday, but in reality, we are about to pull up our home in Tokyo to pursue our dreams in the US with our family of three. There are not many times in life when we make such a big decision. Who knows if this decision is the right one or not? But I want to believe in this dream. I want to believe in this decision. We aim to visit as many cities as possible over the year. Safety is a priority, so we are carefully planning our itinerary. Achieving the stretch goals in this campaign will allow us to add more stops to our journey, including Canada and Hawaii. We hope you will join us on this adventure.
