𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 : 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 Throughout my posts, you may have noticed I tend to speak from a more transcendental perspective on animals & the natural world versus always taking a more empirically driven stance. In line w/ that thought, I would like share the following: The natural propensity of all life on Earth (you included) is to change: sometimes subtly and quietly, like the slow creep of Autumn, and other times, forcefully and violently, like a coastline marred by a vicious hurricane. No matter how the change is incurred or initiated, it will come, and to avoid this innate disposition of nature is to ignore everything that has brought you as a living being into existence. We all live in accordance with the ebb & flow of change on our planet, just as we all live in accordance with the ebb & flow of change within our lives & ourselves. So to seek or be forced into stagnation is, to me, the equivalent of death of the human condition, that which was imbued in us long ago. The demand for change, internally and externally, transcends humans, animals, and time itself; it is a fundamental part of the nature of our universe. To some, change is something to avoid and fear, and maybe it is to me too, but we must not grow comfortable in stagnation and immobility of spirit. We must rage everyday, friends, and fight to change who we are, what we think, believe, and feel. We are never who we always shall be, and that is the most beautifully horrific part of life, because everything will change whether we like it or not. The only thing we have to decide is which direction we would like to try to shift the change towards: for the better, or for the worse. Anyway these are just my own conclusions, and you may pick and preen whatever assumptions you may have from them. I think nature is an excellent advisor on how to deal with the injustice of life, and this is one of the conclusions I have come to to help myself sleep better at night.
