Ответ пользователю @oanabalaita 🕯How to choose the right wick for a candle? Why is it so important to choose the right wick size and how does it affect the burning of a candle? Let's understand! 💛The wick is the ‘heart’ of the candle, which is responsible for its burning, durability and safety. ✅️An incorrectly sized wick can lead to a weak flame, excessive smoking, rapid burnout or tunnelling of the candle. ❗️Wicks are divided into 2 main types: wooden and cotton. Which one to choose is a matter of your taste. 🌿Wooden wicks are mainly made of palm or apricot wood. Some of them crackle when burning, which gives the candle a certain charm. ✂️Cotton wicks come in spools, where it is easy to cut to size, or with a metal holder for easy use. 📏When choosing a wick, it is important to know its thickness and width to find the right one for a particular candle diameter. Its power should be enough to melt the wax to the edges of the container in about 1.5-2 hours. 👌To find the right wick for your candle, refer to the tables in the video. Where the candle diameter and recommended wick sizes are indicated. ✅️If you have a thin wooden wick - you can put 2 pieces together in a wick holder or make several wicks in the candle. 🕯Be sure to test the candle and make sure that the wick is selected correctly. ✨️A properly sized wick ensures a clean, even and long burning candle. Experiment with wick size and quality to create the perfect candle! #candlemaking #candletips #candletesting #candlewick #howtochoose #lifehacks #trick #tips #candles #howtomake #size #cottonwick #woodwick #wick - @isola_aura_home
