Many years ago now, my kickboxing instructor did a similar thing to become world champion. He threw two spinning backfists. Third time he faked it and dropped his opponent with a spinning back kick.

Great as a one-off surprise but that moment of vulnerability in the backspin is too risky. You can use the same feint for many other moves with less risk. Elbow, knee, head kick, teep, side kick.
