Odd that they would go all the way from Inagua to Aruba. There are several other places they could've stopped which would've been a lot closer.

I was on msc at start of the month. we had a medical emergency onboard when on way to New York. We had to divert to Bermuda. It took about 20 hours to get there. I was like but it's an emergency

I was in a cruise when an older man had a heart attack. The helicopter hovered over the ship, dropped ropes down, 2 medics slide down then they lowered the basket to put the man in it. Repeated the same for his wife. The medics were pulled back up. It seem like it only took 3-5 mins. The ship did not stop.

We had a medical emergency on Utopia of the Seas yesterday. They diverted to Miami to offload the passenger. Was impressive how they handled it.

When they come out they don't always land on the ship. They hover over and put the person on the stretcher and then pull them up. It wouldn't be safe with wind. It is crazy to watch.
