@myveggietravels: Ardverikie Estate - you might know it as the famous Glenbogle Estate in the BBC TV series, Monarch of the Glen - and it's one of the most unique lochside places you can stay in Scotland. Fun fact: it also 'played' Balmoral in the Netflix series, The Crown! Hundreds of people drive past the fairytale Gatelodge on the road past the entrance to the estate, but so many Scotland roadtrippers don't realise that it's actually available for rent! Because the owners are still in residence to this day, the grand Ardverikie House is not available as Scottish accommodation, however, visitors can still follow the road along to see it (from a distance). The estate is off-limits to cars, with the exception of those belonging to guests who rent the on-site cottages. If you want to pay the grounds a visit, you must park in the small lay-by at the side of the road on the A86 (located approx ¼ mile west of Gatelodge). #ardverikieestate #coolplacestostayinscotland #thingstoseeinscotland #monarchoftheglen #scotlandtravel
