2019 ram classic hemi, I've read put it in 8th gear manually to keep it out of eco mode and that will help save cam and lifters wich supposedly become a problem, true or false please.

my 2013 challanger rt does this but only after it's been sitting a while could it be the exhaust manifold?

These are throwaway engines the cam eats its self from long idle time . It’s a flawed block. The casting is directly in the way of the cam so it doesn’t now get all the oil it needs at idle
