that's a silicone based caulk. you need latex caulk

Ive been there!!!! Dont get clear silicone because it wont be paintable (you know now tho) always get paintable! Mine is this maroon bottle from lowe’s thats paintable in 30 mins!

Alex paintable caulk is what we use everywhere. In white not clear. It’s the best we’ve found and even our builder used it on our new build when I asked him what he used

Sashco color match caulk. Mix whatever color you want. No need to paint after.

hey 25 years of experience here. all Dap products are paintable. its not that it was a silicone based caulk. its that your trim pain (eurethane) base wont stick to water latext without a primmer.
