@gretairen: I used to think peace was a place or a destination I could travel to if only I worked hard enough or planned well. But life, with its relentless waves, taught me differently. There was a time when everything felt heavy. Responsibilities after responsibilities, and the quiet I craved seemed impossibly far away. I would lie awake at night, staring at the ceiling, wondering if I would ever feel alright again. One day, I just started driving with no direction. I didn’t have a plan, I just needed some air. The world around me didn’t stop, and my problems didn’t magically disappear, but in that moment, I realized peace wasn’t about the absence of chaos. It was about the stillness I could create within myself. So, I started small in order to find my kind of peace. A few quiet moments in the morning with my coffee, cooking my favorite meal, blasting any kind of music while I’m driving, reading my book in a cafe. I learned to let go of what I couldn’t control and give myself grace for what I could. It made me realize that peace isn’t something you chase.. it’s something you nurture. Even in the hardest times, it’s there, waiting for you in the cracks of your day. You just have to choose to pause long enough to feel it.
