His high-energy, improvisational style was so unique that animators built the Genie’s movements and expressions around his performance. The Process of Prelay Here’s how it works: 1. Animators then use these recordings as a foundation, matching the character’s mouth movements (lip-syncing) and expressions to the actor’s voice. Dubbing in Foreign-Language Animation For foreign-language animation, like anime, the process is flipped.
