A day I don’t think I’ll ever forget ! A lot off people keep asking am I okay or what happen ? Yes I’m okay now and nearly fully recovered. Long story as short as I could make it I remember the whole accident so vividly and it’s something I’ll never forget , let alone forgive myself for having my children in the car that afternoon :( . Thankfully both my children are doing great , the news wasn’t all true my son was actually unharmed. My sons car seat did it’s job and I’m so thankful for that , my daughter did unfortunately have Brocken arm and leg and cut to her head , something as a mother I’d never wish on any child ! That afternoon my son’s father after a argument had decided to get a taxi in town. He than later had asked me to come and get him long story short ( it was his way or no way ), I had asked if he could wait for my son to wake up as he hadn’t sleep much that day and had just fallen asleep. Another long story short after going back and forward I got my son and daughter put them into the car and went on the 8-10 minute drive into town to quickly pick him up . Unfortunately it was nothing but arguing and a few actions from him I won’t add.. it had just started raining heavily, we were driving along the Bruce Highway literally 50-100m from the turning lane to turn into our street when the front corner of my car had hit head on, with a double tanker truck .. surprisingly I stayed conscious the whole time .. our car spun , I tried to swerve left away and we were thrown across to the other side off road towards the guard rail, at this point all I could think was f*** were going underneath it and I remember this so vividly (and believe it’s why my arms were so badly brocken ) turned my steering as much as I could to the right in the hope we wouldn’t go under the truck , and god am I thankful we didn’t go under that truck . The second my car hit the guard rail, cars stopped behind us .. in between this I had looked down to see both my arms clearly snapped and I couldn’t physically move them ..thankfully a lovely lady ran straight over to our car with a towel or blanket whichever it was .. I screamed at her please just get my kids I have a baby and my 7 year old in the car .. this lady I tell you she ran so fast to my son to make sure he was okay , grabbed him from his car seat and showed me my baby assuring me he was okay. This lady held my baby until my mum and ambulance arrived ❤️ whilst another lady held a blanket over the car windows that were down so I didn’t get wet while the paramedics helped my children. At this point everyone was out off the car and I was still trapped waiting for the fire brigade to arrive .. I was physically stuck under my crushed dash , shattering my knee cap . I also has fractured my pelvis and my C-7 .. both arms Brocken and my right shoulder shattered .. my daughter thankfully is fully recovered and did recover fast and I’m just thankful we all made it out off that car alive ❤️ #fyp #dv #accident #roadsafety #2024 - @tattooed.mumma.brisbane
