Great post. There’s a famous expression: give expecting nothing in return. Beautiful words to live by, until you realize some people treat generosity like an all-you-can-eat buffet. Give freely, yes… but don’t be the unlimited breadsticks at the local restaurant. 🤔

This is why I don’t lend money. I give money (within a reasonable amount nothing more than a couple hundred quid) and usually only to people I really care about and I’m close with. Lending money creates awkwardness, tension and issues when you want the money back.
