@lisakate020: This is what FTD ( frontal temporal dementia) does to a person. My husband Robert died of this in 2018. My son Matthew will most likely die of this as well.

I’ve gotten a lot of people asking me. How did I know he was dying soon! Honestly, I didn’t realize he was dying soon, but if I could pinpoint things that would prelude to his death, it would be he stopped talking as much, he was having difficulty walking and using his left side. He had such difficulty using his left side that I had to help him walk to the bathroom at night. He still ate pretty good. I think that was because of my Pops making him such good food! Pops chopped everything up so he wouldn’t choke. Almost mush is what I would call what Pops made for my husband. He got extremely tired towards the end, but literally the day he died. He got so much energy. He came out to eat with where he was having struggles. He also was very verbal which I’m just saying verbally wise. It was hard to talk to him, but towards the last day, it’s almost like he got all his talking back. I know that sounds super weird, but it’s what happened.. it’s almost like the day he died. He was able to eat. He was able to talk and he was able to move around a lot more than he was before.. that’s just our experience though.
