I've seen similar items and thought they would be great for storing flour, etc. But it can't replace canning, there's no way it preserves food safely.

I got one too use for dry goods &returned it because they wouldn’t stayed sealed but my my vacuum sealer works much better

I’ve always wondered about this. I thought about one for just my pantry items I keep and use often in jars so could keep sealing tight. Ex: my chia seeds/nuts. Would that be a good use? Not bulk, but current use ones so not long term storage.
