They were just named after the the slave dealer and also since most of the missionaries call these tribes south of abyssinia altogether with oromo a “galla” İt is always been mislabaled as most people don’t can’t identify them from oromo tribes who were never been enslaved. They been translating directly the inmposed term “galla” to oromo which made confusion. All the abyssinians and somalis used to get their slaves from oromo slave owner.
