Even after a 9 day old wash and go remixed into a flat twist updo for 1 day, this shampoo is very cleansing, like maybe even more than AG Balance. One wash was all my hair needed to be squeaky clean. I would use this shampoo once every 4, 6 or 12 weeks like a clarifying shampoo. Or when I want my hair really clean before and after a silk press.
