I’m at a point where I don’t even care about what IEP assessments. My son is awesome and great in his own way. He don’t have to grow by the school system standards.

I cried in the car reading my son’s assessments. I felt like I failed him as his mom. I pray about this feeling because it eats at me everyday. ❤️🩹

I know the feeling all too well. My daughter is now 12 and was dismissed from Speech last year. She still needs accommodations but she is thriving! It gets better 🤍

It gets easier! Knowing it has to sound ugly for them to get the services they need is the tough but understanding part. Make sure your on the same page as their staff and have obtainable goals. 💙

My son’s BCBA had to remind me that a lot of this is written to ensure insurance continues to cover, so they have to focus on “deficits” Doesn’t make it any easier, though. :/
